Averitt has been named the 2024 Workplace Giving Partner of the Year by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®, marking the fourth time in which Averitt has received this prestigious recognition.
The award was presented at the ALSAC/St. Jude Volunteer Awards Dinner, held annually to celebrate and acknowledge those across the country who support St. Jude. Averitt had previous received Giving Partner of the Year in 1999, 2010, and 2020.
Averitt associates donated a record-breaking $1,500,001 in 2023, the largest employee-generated donation in the hospital's history. Additionally, Averitt associates and customers have donated tens of thousands of Hot Wheels® and Play Doh® to the hospital over the past two years.
Averitt has partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for over 30 years and continues to support the St. Jude mission to develop cures for childhood diseases.
Averitt associates contribute in a multitude of ways, embodying the Power of One to the Averitt Cares for Kids program throughout the year. Associates can opt to support St. Jude financially by donating $1 a week out of their paycheck to Averitt Cares for Kids. Associates also volunteer their time for community service projects in the Team Up Community Challenge, with their service hours being matched by the company with financial donations to Averitt Cares for Kids. Additionally, events are held every year within Averitt to foster more supporting opportunities.
Working at Averitt not only gives associates a livelihood and growth-focused career path, but also an opportunity to contribute to their communities.
