Ashanti Butler - Dock-to-Driver - 'Averitt Makes You Want More Out of Life'

Ashanti Butler started with Averitt in 2021 and is currently a CDL-qualified dock associate. Ashanti reflects on how he had the opportunity to go from just being a dock associate to being a driver too.

From the beginning of his time with Averitt, Ashanti wondered "is there room for growth for me to become a driver?" The answer was yes! Ashanti mentions that truck driving is something he has always wanted to do, and Averitt helped him make that happen.

According to Ashanti, "One of the most important things I learned from my driver-trainer was patience. You have to be patient on the road." Ashanti expresses his appreciation to Averitt for allowing him to start as a dock associate and walking him through the steps of becoming a driver.
