We're proud to announce that MilitaryFriendly.com has recognized us as a Military Friendly® Employer for the seventh year, reflecting our deep commitment to supporting service members and their families as they transition to civilian life. For 2025, we've earned the Military Friendly® GOLD Employer award and Military Friendly® Spouse Employer award. We're dedicated to providing meaningful opportunities for those who have served our country. This award follows an annual survey conducted by Viqtory, a military marketing company dedicated to connecting veterans with civilian career opportunities. The Military Friendly® Employer designation is granted to companies with a proven track record of hiring and supporting veterans and military spouses, and we are honored to be among the select few to receive this recognition.
We deeply value the dedication and sacrifice of our military associates. Approximately 15% of our workforce is composed of military veterans representing every Armed Forces branch. Over 50% of our veterans served in the Army, while 16.49% are Navy veterans, 13.95% served in the Marine Corps, 13.53% in the Air Force, and 10.36% in the National Guard. We also proudly employ U.S. Coast Guard veterans, making up 1.69% of our veteran workforce.
We're proud to offer ongoing support to our military associates. One key benefit of joining our team is our military leave program, which ensures that when our team members are called to active duty or training, they don't have to worry about financial strain. For up to 30 consecutive days, we'll compensate the difference between military pay and the base pay our associates would have earned on the job, allowing our veterans to focus on their service without added stress.
We believe that veterans are crucial to our success, and our continued commitment to recruiting and retaining service members reflects that.
Military experience provides veterans with valuable skills seamlessly translating into a career with us. Whether transitioning out of service or looking for new opportunities after years in the civilian workforce, we offer roles that honor your dedication, work ethic, and unique career experience. If you already have your CDL-A from your time in the military, we'd love to talk with you about how that experience can help you join our team quickly. For those working toward a CDL, we have partnerships with approved driving schools to help you get the training you need.
For military veterans with driving experience, you may also qualify for a CDL waiver, allowing you to skip the skills testing portion of the application process. Your military experience counts, and we're proud to offer one to three weeks of tailored training for those transitioning from military driving to civilian driving roles.
Our commitment to veterans doesn't end with hiring. We offer countless opportunities for career growth and promotion from within and long-term, rewarding careers. Our team is stronger when veterans wear the Averitt uniform, and we're committed to providing a supportive environment where military associates can thrive.
If you're a veteran or military spouse seeking a career with a company that truly values your service, we invite you to explore our career opportunities. With a range of positions, there's a place for you on our team.
Thank you to all our military associates for your service, and congratulations to our entire team for once again earning the Military Friendly® Employer award! Together, we're building a future that supports our veterans and their families every step of the way.
