Not only will you find better pay, benefits and equipment, but you'll also discover that we're as passionate about helping you find the right kind of job that matches your life goals as you are. We don't believe in placing limitations on your driving career, which is why we're proud to offer an extensive list of job opportunities to choose from. Want a driving job that gets you home every day? Check. Craving more predictability in your route and schedule? We have that too.Interested in gaining more training or moving up in leadership? We're happy to help you along the way.Looking to get off the road entirely? That's easy - we have plenty of non-driving jobs and would be happy to help you find the best fit.
Having too many choices can be just as hard as not having enough, so we've broken down our truck driving opportunities into our different driving divisions. This list will help point you in the right direction when choosing your career path as a professional driver:
Driving divisions
Regional Truckload
Regional truck drivers at Averitt deliver freight throughout 25 states within our Southern, Southwest and Midwest lanes. You'll enjoy 100% no-touch freight, weekly home time and the opportunity to make an average of $1,100 per week. Our regional truckload positions are ideal for drivers who enjoy being out for a week at a time before stopping at home. As a matter of fact, 87% of our drivers are home by noon on Saturdays.
On Tour Logistics
Our On Tour Logistics team offers drivers a unique opportunity to utilize their skills on the entertainment circuit. Drivers in this division demonstrate the highest level of performance excellence and are able to commit to multi-week runs or enjoy daily production runs (one-offs that get drivers home daily). Qualified drivers receive specialized training about touring and entertainment production procedures, which allows them to fill the production and tour load needs of our customers.
Regional Flatbed
Our regional flatbed drivers cover 15 states throughout the South and Mid-Atlantic regions and haul mostly steel, lumber and other building materials. You can expect to run an average of 2,100 miles per week and weekly home time. This division is great for drivers who enjoy the physical challenge and additional compensation opportunities of flatbed work.
Dedicated
If you like consistency and seeing the same customers on a regular basis, our dedicated driving positions might be just what you need. Driving positions in this division, which offers daily and weekly home time options, include dedicated account drivers, yard switchers and flex truck drivers.
City
Drivers looking for daily home time will really enjoy being a local driver at Averitt. Our local truck drivers cultivate long-term relationships with the customers they serve. Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required.
Shuttle
Our shuttle drivers are responsible for transporting LTL freight overnight between service centers throughout our network. It's mostly no-touch freight, and our solo shuttle drivers enjoy daily home time. We also offer team driving opportunities with weekly home time. We're happy to pair you with a compatible co-driver, but our team shuttle positions are also perfect for family members, spouses or friends who already work well together.
If you're looking for something off the road, Averitt also has several non-driving positions to choose from:
Non-driving positions

We currently have 35 shop locations throughout our system, where we provide clean and safe stop facilities and opportunities for career advancement.
