Colin Padal started with Averitt as a part-time dock associate where he worked for eight months before becoming a full-time city driver. Colin reflects on the opportunities to learn and grow with Averitt that helped him on his career path.
Colin is excited about Averitt's dock-to-driver program, saying "it allows you to work your way up through the organization based upon the path that you choose." He also comments that Averitt's programs and "promoting from within" culture help driver associates to where they want to be in their career 10-15 years down the road.
According to Colin, "When corporations allow for entry-level positions [to grow], it really helps build good character in their employees." Colin expresses his appreciation to Averitt for allowing him to start at entry-level and grow into a full-time driving position.
Thank you for your comments, Colin! We are so glad to have you as a member of the Averitt team.
