For a perfect example of someone who takes pride in his ride, look no further than Laredo Truckload driver Luis Flores. Luis has been with Averitt for about a year and a half, and he keeps his truck looking sharp, on the inside and out.
"I just like keeping my truck looking clean, I do that for our customers, and also for me because I live there most of the week," says Luis. "I want it clean. I don't want it dirty, so that's why I do what I do."
The Averitt team has been a perfect fit for Luis, who was referred by a Laredo maintenance associate and family friend.
"Averitt has everything," Luis explains. "Averitt has service centers, so I don't have to stay at truck stops or fill up at truck stops. Other companies don't have that. And I have a good fleet manager."
Teammates throughout our network have taken notice of Luis' sparkling ride, including at a recent cookout in Knoxville, and at Dallas while getting regular preventive maintenance.
"In Dallas, I had my truck in the shop, and they came over while I was watching TV at the Driver Support Center," Luis recalls. "They said, 'Luis, we need you to tell you something.' I wasn't sure what they were going to say. And they brought me to my truck and said, You need some of those plastic shoe cover booties for your truck. That's how clean it is!'"
Thank you, Luis, for the pride you take in your professional image and in a job well done. That's a prime example of the Averitt culture in action!
